Like other “neo swing ” groups, including the Cherry Poppin ’ Daddies, Royal Crown Revue, and the Brian SetzerOrchestra, the Atomic Fireballs from Detroit, Michigan, came from another musical realm. Artists such as Cab Galloway and Duke Ellington defined the genre ’s golden age.
